First off, a massive THANK YOU to everyone we've talked with, had coffee with and partnered with. What started out as a slightly crazy idea turned into over 50 contractors reaching out, and we have been working like absolute madmen behind the scenes to bring this to life.
We’re pulling the curtain back a bit early today. This isn’t our "official, 100% polished launch" because we’re still actively onboarding members, but the website for Home Local Pro (HLP) is up and running, and we want you to take a look. 👀
If you’ve been following along, you know we essentially took the BNI model, threw out the stuffy suits and fingers crossed referrals then rebuilt it exclusively for trades and home services right here in the Lower Mainland.
🍻 The Front End: We meet up once a month in person. No fluff, just passing real referrals and helping each other grow our businesses.
💻 The Back End (Where it gets wild): We designed custom software that lets us recommend the entire group to our clients. Think about it: you’ve spent 10 years building a rock-solid client base. Now, we have a system to share that trusted list across the whole group.
We’re also rolling out heavy marketing aimed directly at homeowners over the next few months, plus a ton of exclusive member benefits to help them grow 👀.

We’re keeping this strictly ONE pro per trade for the lower mainland .
• LOCKED: Electrical (obviously ⚡), Plumbing, Handyman, Junk Removal, Power Washing, Roofing, concrete scanning/coring,
• PENDING: HVAC.
• OPEN & ACTIVELY LOOKING: Landscaping, HVAC, Pest Control, and any residential/commercial service companies ready to grow.
Fair warning: We’ve already talked to 50+ contractors. If you’re sitting on the fence waiting to see what happens, you’re going to be watching someone else take your category—and once it's gone, it’s gone for good.

Finally #1 on map ranking. Right under the paid spot!

About a year ago, TY Electric was buried in Google Maps.
Today, we’re showing up consistently at the top of the map pack — right where customers are actually clicking. 👀📍

No massive ad spend.
No gimmicks.
Just disciplined Google Business Profile optimization, reviews, geo tagged photos, posts, Q&As linked to website, a bunch of other technical stuff lol and real local work.

Because of this journey, we’ve now started helping other trades do the same thing.

⚠️ We can’t help electricians in North Vancouver (competition matters),
but we’d love to help electricians in other cities!

We’re officially launching the Lime Trades Referral Network 👋

After posting this in a large contractor group, we’ve already had 15+ trades apply, so we wanted to open it up briefly here as well.
(If you’ve already messaged us — don’t worry, we’ll be reaching out this week.)

This is a local, invite-only referral network for service trades, built around real customer work — not networking meetings.

How it works:
• After every completed job, a short follow-up goes out
• Happy clients leave reviews
• Clients are incentivized to use other trusted trades in the group
• Referrals start moving daily between businesses
• Plus: cross-trade email marketing across the entire network

Think BNI, but:
– Trades only
– Automated
– High-volume service work
– Happening every day, not once a week

We’re starting with:
📍 North Vancouver (my group)
📍 Vancouver
📍 Surrey / White Rock

To keep it fair and effective:
• One trade per category per city
• Designed for companies doing multiple jobs per week
• It is a paid group (to fund the incentives + systems), but it’s built to pay for itself in referrals alone
