The best heat is the heat delivered exactly where it’s needed.

In the farrowing room, sows and piglets have very different thermal needs. Hog Hearth® helps producers create a targeted warm microclimate for piglets without unnecessarily heating the entire environment.
And now, with the HMI (Heat Mat Indicator), there’s an additional layer of visibility built into the Hog Hearth® system.
The HMI provides a simple visual indication of heat mat status, helping barn teams quickly recognize when attention may be needed.
Targeted warmth for piglets. Better visibility for your team.
That’s what we mean by warmth where it matters most.
Discover how Hog Hearth® and the new HMI can work together in your farrowing operation.

What if checking your heat mats started with just one look? 👀

Meet the HMI (Heat Mat Indicator), the newest addition to the Hog Hearth® system.

Designed to simplify heat mat monitoring, the HMI provides barn teams with a quick visual indication of heat mat status, so they know when attention may be needed.

And one HMI monitors two Hog Hearth® Heat Mats.

👁 See the status at a glance.
⏱ Spend less time checking.
⚡ Identify when attention is needed.
✓ Feel more confident in your heat mat system.

Because smarter technology should make your job easier—not more complicated.

SEE IT. KNOW IT. ACT.

Coming October 2026.

💥 We said we’d put it to the test. So we did.

Barn life is tough, and the equipment inside it needs to be ready for the unexpected. 🔨

In MATBUSTERS | Series 02, we’ve shown you what contributes to the strength of a Hog Hearth® Heat Mat, including its fibreglass-reinforced construction.

But talking about durability isn’t enough.

It’s time to prove it. 💥

We put the Hog Hearth® Heat Mat through an impact-resistance test to see how it responds when its strength is tested.

No assumptions. No claims.
Just the test and the result.

🔨 What makes a Hog Hearth® Heat Mat strong?

It starts with what it’s made of.

Hog Hearth® Heat Mats feature fibreglass-reinforced construction, helping provide the strength and durability needed for demanding barn environments.

Because a heat mat doesn’t just need to provide warmth. It needs to handle daily use, animal activity and real-world impacts. 💥

The materials matter.
The construction matters.
What’s inside matters.

That’s what we’re exploring in MATBUSTERS | Series 02: Impact Resistance.

And next? We put that strength to the test. 🔨

Real-world questions. Real tests. Real answers.
We test it. So you can trust it.

🔨 How tough does a heat mat really need to be?

In a swine barn, heat mats face real-world conditions every day, animal activity, foot traffic, equipment contact and unexpected impacts.

That’s why durability isn’t just about how long a product lasts. It’s about how it’s built to handle what happens along the way.

Welcome to MATBUSTERS, SERIES 02: IMPACT RESISTANCE. 🔨

Over the next few days, we’re going beyond the surface of Hog Hearth® Heat Mats to explore the materials, construction, and fibreglass reinforcement that underpin their strength.

But we won’t just tell you they’re tough.

We’re going to put them to the test. 💥

Because durability shouldn’t just be a claim.

Real-world questions. Real tests. Real answers.
We test it. So you can trust it.

🔥 MAT BUSTERS: FIRE

Claims are easy. Proof takes testing.

We say Hog Hearth® Heat Mats are built with fire safety in mind. But we don’t expect you to just take our word for it.

So… we put them to the test. 🔥🧪

In the first episode of Mat Busters, we take on FIRE and show what a 5VA flammability classification really means.

If there’s a myth, we’ll bust it.
If there’s a claim, we’ll test it.
If there’s a standard, we’ll measure against it.

Watch the first Mat Busters test and see the proof for yourself.

🔥 FIRE is only the beginning.

08/27/2026

When we talk about fire safety, we don't want to stop at saying a material is "fire resistant." We want to understand how that resistance is evaluated.
That brings us to 5VA.

The 5VA classification under UL 94 evaluates how a material behaves when exposed to flame under specific test conditions, including afterflame behaviour and whether the test specimen develops a hole.

Why does this matter for a heat mat?
Because the materials and components selected for electrical heating equipment can play an important role in product safety.

Swipe through ➡️ to learn what 5VA means, how materials are evaluated, and why what's inside your heat mat deserves attention.
And, of course, this is MATBUSTERS...
So we won't stop at explaining the rating.
🔥 Next, we test it. Tomorrow, watch the video on our YouTube channel:
