NEW TREE PANDEMIC HAPPENING! VERY IMPORTANT!! There’s a new bug in town! Govt of Canada finally confirmed it. Two lined chestnut borer is taking all of our oaks. If you have an oak and see and random dying tips or large random dead branches out of nowhere ! Call us ! It can be cured if we you don’t wait too long!!

Topping a maple back to solid wood. The top was filled with ant and rot, but the client wasnt ready to say goodbye. The base was thick and solid, the tree will sucker & continue growing for 10-15 years more. We were glad to be apart of keeping this tree alive.

Kateryna and Havrylo are an elderly Ukrainian-Canadian couple who find themselves on unexpected fantasy adventures. What begins with ordinary rural Manitoban activities, like mushroom picking or ice fishing, quickly turns into other-worldly encounters. Using only their wits, they escape the dreaded Baba Yaga, a King Fish, Mushroom Henchmen and a Snow Queen. Comedic and adventurous, Kateryna and Havrylo delights audiences while celebrating Ukrainian heritage so prominently ingrained in Manitoba’s culture.

The potential harm caused by easily rectifiable root issues to tree health is striking. Minor root and depth anomalies significantly impact tree well-being. Approximately 2-3 years post-construction, a mature oak tree is exhibiting decline. Air spading exposed a severely deep root flare. We are scheduled to revisit in spring to devise and implement a plan for installing drainage systems and retaining walls, ensuring proper root zone grading for optimal aeration and water uptake. Our root repair methodology utilizes the air spade technique, commencing with the gentle removal of soil using compressed air and a specialized compressor. We then rectify soil levels, excise damaged roots, and replenish depleted soil with superior quality soil. To promote optimal tree well-being, a compost layer is applied, supplemented by fresh soil. Vertical mulching services are also offered, where deep holes created by the air spade are filled with organic matter to enhance aeration and microorganism activity, ultimately furnishing the tree with vital nutrients and oxygen. Just as trees require pruning to prevent decline, prudent root management is equally crucial. A recent example underscored this importance, where air spading revealed and removed a sizable 25x20” boulder mere inches from the tree base, safeguarding its longevity.
