Deck demo job today. This by far in all my years of construction has to be one of the most poorly constructed decks I have ever seen. When standing in the deck you could sway it from side to side. 🤯Where to start on all the issues. No post saddles holding the post to the footings. No blocking anywhere to be seen on the frame work. 1” construction screws holding the joist hangers. A single ledger board with no epoxy and over torqued bolds. Hand rail post just screwed to the face of the deck no structural bolts of any kind. The stairs were way to steep with less that 7” of tread. The list could go on.
