Tomorrow begins the final week of Therapy Decor.
In the quiet rhythm of this final week, the store feels different.
The décor meant to turn houses into homes, the candles that once filled the air with warmth, the timeless accents that found their way onto mantels and coffee tables, and the treasures that people carried out the door with excitement, have slowly diminished from this place.
Every corner in this place now holds a memory.
There were the first days, full of anticipation, nervousness, excitement and big hopes. The weekends and holidays when the place buzzed with conversation and laughter, getting to know some of our best customers who have now become friends and some like family. The familiar faces who stopped in just to say hello, the ones who believed in what this business was trying to create — something thoughtful, different, and authentically us. Those people mattered more than they’ll ever know. They were the ones who noticed the details. The ones who understood the value of quality pieces and the meaning of our store, not only in the items, but in the name and in the purpose. The ones who turned a simple shop into a place that felt alive and for us, like home these past 4 years.
Now, this chapter gently comes to its final page beginning tomorrow. This week isn’t about the sales or closing the doors.
It’s about remembering the laughter, the conversations, the stories, the true Therapy community that supported and uplifted us, and to those that we could do the same back. It’s about the pieces that found homes that will now be filled with a fond memory, and the ones who made this place more than just a store.
Here is to one last week to walk through this space, share a memory and find maybe find one more, with a smile for the good it brought all around.
When the lights dim and the door closes for the last time as Therapy on Saturday, what will remain is the story of what this little shop was, the people who made it special and the two sisters who finally chased after their dream 🤍
