Creek restoration in progress!

The Sagebrush Nursery team has been busy working in beautiful Naramata, BC, on a restoration project along Chute Creek—and it is quickly becoming one of the most stunning creek restorations we’ve had the privilege to be part of.

Naramata has its own unique ecosystem, rich with native plants, wildlife, and natural beauty. Our goal is to help restore this creek corridor back to its natural habitat by planting native species that support biodiversity, improve ecosystem health, and create resilient landscapes for generations to come.

There is something incredibly rewarding about watching a disturbed landscape come back to life. Every plant in the ground is a step toward a healthier creek, stronger wildlife habitat, and a more vibrant natural environment.

Stay tuned as this beautiful restoration continues to grow!

We’re feeling incredibly grateful to be part of this amazing restoration project in Osoyoos!

A stunning new winery is taking shape right on the lake, and we were honoured to help restore the bank leading down to the shoreline using native plants and hydroseeding. Mother Nature certainly did her part this June, delivering some beautiful rainy days that have helped everything take off.

Our native grass blend, combined with drought-tolerant wildflowers, is already establishing beautifully. In time, this landscape will blend seamlessly into its natural surroundings, creating habitat, preventing erosion, and showcasing the beauty of our local ecosystem.

There’s something special about watching a disturbed site come back to life. We can’t wait to see this space mature and become a natural extension of the incredible landscape that surrounds it.

Stay tuned for more updates as this beautiful project grows! 🌱✨

Happy June 1st! 🌿

It’s that magical time of year when the garden is bursting with colour and life—and the weeds are just starting to make their appearance too!

Take a moment to get outside and enjoy your garden. Just look at the beautiful blend in this photo: evergreens, curly locust, smoke bush, nepeta, poppies, and Black Lace elderberry all coming together in a stunning display of texture, colour, and contrast.

So much beauty to soak in this season. 🌸🐝

I was lucky enough to visit a beautiful bank restoration project in Osoyoos recently. The homeowners purchased their plants from Sagebrush Nursery and then took on the entire transformation themselves.

After completing the build of their stunning new home, they were ready to bring life, beauty, and greenery back to the landscape. I was so impressed by the care and thought that went into every planting decision—working thoughtfully around existing plants while creating a cohesive and natural design.

What may look young today is going to grow into a lush oasis in the years to come, providing beauty for the eyes and valuable habitat for birds, bees, and other pollinators. It’s inspiring to see the vision, hard work, and dedication that went into creating such a special space.

Come get a beautiful Elderberry shrub for your yard At Sagebrush nursery, Elderberries are so much more than a beautiful shrub — they are a powerhouse plant for supporting local wildlife and pollinators.

Their fragrant flowers are rich in nectar, attracting bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators all season long. Native bees even use the hollow stems as nesting sites! Later in summer, the abundant berries become an essential food source for songbirds like robins, waxwings, finches, and bluebirds.

With their dense branching structure providing shelter and nesting habitat, elderberries truly help create a thriving ecosystem right in your garden. A stunning plant that gives back to nature in every season

We got out for a beautiful hike this weekend and the wildflowers were absolutely showing off. The shrubby penstemon, blue clematis, and desert shooting stars were all in full glory — completely divine. There’s something so magical about hiking this time of year, when everything is still lush and green and the flowers seem to be singing and shining from every corner of the trail.

Snowbelle Mock Orange is one of those shrubs that reminds people why fragrant flowering plants still matter so much in the garden. I like it because the double white blooms feel clean and classic, the citrusy fragrance is strong enough to truly notice, and the compact size makes it easy to use where homeowners will enjoy it most. Near a patio, along a path, or tucked into a mixed border, this is a shrub that brings real charm without asking for a huge amount of space.
