This Athearn Genesis ONR GP40 from my personal collection got weathered based on a specific prototype photo of this road number I found online, and was done with primarily airbrushing but some panel washes in key areas. I also added a yellow strip to the bottom of the plow to match the photo.

This was a very fun client project for the Barrie Collingwood Railway in HO. It started life as a gray Rapido hopper they did some physical modifications to before sending it to me. Then I repainted it orange, added new decals, and it got weathering, some decal graffiti, and then hand painted graffiti to match the prototype as best as possible. Reflective stripes at the end and clear coat to finish it off.

Quick project today. This was a previously weathered model from my collection that unfortunately became victim of some drop damage. A lot of glue dots later and the walkways are back on, (showing some bend damage from years of service) and now a second pass of rust to cover the marks and glue. A few missing parts had to be replace with what I could find in the junk bin, but she’ll still look great rolling past the crossing.

Thanks to everyone who’s reached out for projects over the last few months! Combined with a successful Prescott train show, I’ll be pausing my book for new work until later in the summer. I’ll still be posting previously completed client and personal models. New weathering requests will be tracked to review later in the year.
