Posting about all things plant related on here from now on, know someone that needs a hand learning to grow plants ? Send them this because it's a necessity and not just a hobby everyone should know how to grow their own produce !
Here is a close up of cannabis right before harvest that I caught this past summer in my grow tent.
Trichomes are a great indicator for telling how mature or ripe your plant is, but they aren't the tell all.
For an ideal plant finish you are looking for 75% milky trichomes,25% amber or orange trichomes( the colour changes based on how much the trichomes oxidate and that's why your looking for an amber color for about a quarter of the plant before harvesting.
But... if you wait too long then you start to lose quality and effects.
So, it's always good to see how your plant's colour is changing almost similar to fall and also how the pistils look or hairs some people call them. If pistills are still mostly white it shows that the plant isn't finished and is still ready to recieve pollen. That's a whole other post/topic about how pollination works and why your always looking for females when growing cannabis to smoke.
Stay tuned for more info and to help everyone learn to provide for themselves, so they can save some money and time because no one likes living to work!
