Why is the bathroom the most important room in the house?
When the average person spends one and a half years of their life in the bathroom, why is it so easy to forget how important it is?
When we think about our time at home, we tend to think of the time we spend with the family, eating a meal, or the time we get to sleep in our beds. Although spending time with the family is great and whilst we may spend a huge proportion of our lives in bed, there is no reason to forget the bathroom - it’s where we start and finish the day!
The bathroom is the one room in which we are able to finally switch off from all that is going on around us and simply be alone with our thoughts, and reflect on the day. A chance to relax and wash away life’s little stresses, and above all, where inspiration strikes. It’s an experience!
We all love to be reminded of that luxury hotel experience and the soothing spas we enjoyed. Imagine bringing that experience into your home. Today’s developments are creating areas of water therapy where we can prepare for the pace of our daily living, and relax at the end of it in peaceful solitude.
Furthermore, did you know the bathroom can dramatically increase the value of your home? Taking time to renovate such a room, will allow you to recoup most, if not all of the money that you invest in the renovation once it comes to sell, and in the process, you’ll end up with a room that’s far more attractive, much more practical and even more hygienic. Investing in another room in your house will rarely see a return on investment and help you to achieve more out of your home, in comparison to the bathroom.
So next time you’re renovating your house, take time to select the bathroom products that are right for you. Do your research online to get inspiration. Ask an expert to help you with creative design. And, if you think your bathroom isn't important, try not using it!
