CHBA National

CHBA National The voice of Canada’s residential construction industry. In addressing this goal, we support the business success of our members.

CHBA seeks a strong and positive role for the housing industry in Canada’s economy and in the life and development of our communities. We work to ensure Canadians have access to homes that meet their needs at a price they can afford to pay, and that the interests of homebuyers and homeowners are understood by governments. And we provide information to Canadians to help them become more informed and confident when they buy a new home, or hire a renovator to improve their existing one.

CHBA Alliance Network member Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) is seeking input from senior decision-makers involved in purpose-built rental housing for the annual Rental Construction Survey.

The survey gathers forward-looking insight over the next two to five years on project pipelines, approvals, financing, costs, and risks affecting new rental development across Canada.

The survey is designed for developers, investors, and development managers. General contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers should only participate if they are directly involved in development decision-making or investment.

Share your insight while the survey is open and help inform CMHC’s ongoing work to support new rental housing supply.

With National AccessAbility Week coming to a close today, it's a good reminder that accessible design shouldn't feel clinical or cold. It should feel like home.

For many Canadians, the right home modifications can support safety, comfort, accessibility, and independence as needs change over time.

"Church Residence" by Pinnacle Group Renovations of BILD Calgary Region is a strong example of that approach in action. The project received the 2026 Best Adaptiv Home Award at the CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence for a renovation that prioritizes long-term accessibility while keeping the home comfortable, functional, and beautifully designed.

Congratulations to Pinnacle Group Renovations by Design Ltd. on setting the gold standard in adaptiv home design. A well-deserved win!

Did you know is part of the CHBA ?

As Canada looks for ways to build more homes faster, construction innovation is becoming increasingly important.

Promise Robotics is a construction technology company bringing AI-powered robotic automation to residential homebuilding. Its platform supports builders by turning existing home plans into automated off-site production workflows, improving speed, consistency, and certainty from manufacturing through delivery.

For builders facing labour shortages, rising demand, and pressure to improve productivity, technology like this creates predictable pathways to getting homes built.

Combining homebuilding expertise with advanced automation, Promise Robotics shows what the future of residential construction can look like: faster, more efficient, and built to support the scale of housing Canada needs.

Did you know that factory-built homes can reduce the environmental impact of buildings? Aside from the fact that modular homes can be built with the same high-performance energy efficiency as site-built buildings—including net zero—modular construction processes can reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by more than 40%, and sustainable use of resources through effective waste reduction and a high level of building durability.
