🐋I’m so pleased with how this whale is coming along!
The Prismacolor pencils are layering beautifully.

There’s something so meditative about building up those deep blues against the bright coral.

Still a long way to go, but the flow is feeling just right. 🌊

Today marks the four-year anniversary of my piece, "Turterra Nova," being exhibited at The Rooms in St. John's as part of the Arts and Letters Competition.

As a multidisciplinary artist, I believe our most challenging pieces are often our most rewarding.

This work, rooted in the indigenous folklore of Turtle Island, pushed my technical boundaries and taught me invaluable lessons about scale and conceptual storytelling.

Seeing it displayed in such a professional space was a pivotal moment in my career.
It serves as a constant reminder that putting your work out there is the first step toward growth.

Sheila's Brush
-Acrylic on Canvas, 2026

I’ve been quiet in the studio lately because I’ve been busy trying to capture the raw energy of the Newfoundland spring.

This piece represents Sheila's Brush, usually the last of major snowstorms for Newfoundland.

I really challenged myself to work with a "minimal palette" to convey the feeling of being completely buried in snow.

The depth and movement in the center of the canvas were particularly difficult to create, however I think this may be one of my greatest paintings yet.
