What's happening to the grey market ?
Some of you might be wondering why the market has been so slow. With the lockdown in Ontario and the borders closed, there was most likely a surplus of old stock kicking around and stock piling. Paper guys were waiting to deplete old stocks before re stocking new product. Our dollar has been strong vs the US dollar giving us less competetive pricing compared to our American neighbours. With the lockdowns and restrictions being lifted, it took a week or two.. We are starting to see things heat up. Seeing lots of movement in the city this week and the island is inverting their harvest slowly but surely. This is great news for the store and our customers. With a little extra care and attention on the prize, we should all be doing better through the summer! Hope you're all enjoying your summer and your crops are staying cool!
