Behind the scenes, before the reveal.

The final stages of a home are some of our favourite parts of the interior design phases. Finding just the right placement for those finishing pieces bringing the whole design together!

Styling is such an important part of handover. It adds warmth, balances the room and helps our clients feel at home from the moment they walk through the door.

When you don’t skip out on those details.

From the tiles to lighting and the cabinetry. Every choice matters to get your dream home!

So you may have noticed we’ve been a little quiet over here lately. Not on purpose but our days have been filled with projects, new & current... and we can’t wait to share!

There’s plenty to look forward to, and we’re excited to take you inside the spaces we’ve been working on! Expect lots of colour, pattern and warmth!

Thank you for staying with us. Stay close...the reveals are coming.

Step inside the primary bedroom at Mountain Star.

Soft morning light, warm wood and layers of linen create a quiet place to begin and end the day. Muted greens echo the landscape, while an upholstered bed and a softly patterned rug bring that much needed warmth to the room.

For us, luxury lives in these thoughtful details and in how a space makes you feel. Comfortable, considered and entirely at ease.

What makes a bedroom feel like a retreat to you?

A little fall, brought indoors.

When styling a corner, cabinet or table consider the balance of textures: a weathered vessel, a favourite book, something seasonal. Give each piece a little room to breathe.

What’s the first thing you change in your home when fall comes.....flowers, cushions or cosy throws?

The creative journey.

Choosing materials for a project is probably one of our favourite parts. As it involves transforming your vision into reality. Each material brings its own personality and enhances the overall atmosphere of the space. We thoughtfully evaluate how every element integrates into the design and functionality of the room. After establishing spatial planning and functionality, we focus on materials, fixtures, and finishes. Each choice brings us one step closer to crafting you that dream home or room!

Dining rooms that matter. Often these are the most underused spaces but shouldn't be. A well-designed dining area can transform everyday meals into special occasions, creating a warm environment for family and friends to gather and connect.

It’s essential to focus on comfort and flow when designing this space. The right furniture arrangement can make all the difference, providing ample space for movement while ensuring everyone feels included.

Incorporate elements like statement lighting or unique artwork to enhance the overall aesthetic and create a focal point in the room.

The Importance of Partnerships

In the interior design industry, partnerships play a crucial role. Having reliable individuals to support you significantly enhances the ability to bring your vision to life. This is why we focus on collaborating with local vendors, suppliers, and contractors who are knowledgeable about the area and the distinctive characteristics of the Sea to Sky region. Just like our wonderful Dorgelo by Design.

By working with those who understand the local landscape, we ensure that every project is filled with authenticity and charm.

Every detail is carefully considered, thanks to the skills of our trusted partners. As we continue to grow and adapt, we remain dedicated to fostering strong relationships within our community. Together, we can craft beautiful, functional spaces that fulfil your needs.

Design Tip Tuesday!

Things have been bustling here at Clare Riley Design, and our fall projects are in full swing. As the colder days approach, it means cozy season is here so its time to do a little styling! Fear not - we haven't forgotten about you! This week, we're sharing some tips to help you embrace the season.

Today’s Focus: Styling in odd numbers!
Styling can sometimes be tricky, but grouping decor items in odd numbers, can truly transform a space. Whether you play with colours, textures, or materials, this method helps to unify your home beautifully.

We'd love to see how you apply this tip in your own space! Share your designs with us and tag for a chance to be featured in our stories.

Let’s make this fall a season of transformations!

Sometimes the office days can look a little different 😏

Couple days in the city with the team for the Moe’s Home Collection HQ fall market event and visiting vendors for some product sourcing for projects.

Living a little further ways means we gotta make the most of our days in the city when we can!
