Resilient Garden Services is Ben Dunsmuir's new garden services business on Pender Island.

Many of you know me as the coordinator of the Pender Growers Collective where I have grown and sold over $28,000 of produce for the community, including over 30 different crops. Before coming to Pender, I gained a mechanical engineering degree, but soon decided that the real problem solving that needed to happen involved ecology and farming. My new goal with respect to local food resilience is to help YOU grow food. But I also just love creating beautiful natural spaces to be in, whether food producing or not. Having experienced another Level 5 drought on Pender Island this summer, it's time to think ahead to next year and how we can make better use of our water while keeping our gardens healthy and abundant.
