🚧 Seasonal Load Restrictions – Start Date Delayed 🚧
The Town of Penetanguishene has delayed the start of the 2026 Seasonal Load Restriction period to Monday, March 9, 2026, due to favourable road and weather conditions.

From March 9 to April 30, 2026, load limits of 5 tonnes per axle will apply. https://ow.ly/ztKJ50YmY48

These restrictions help protect our road network during the spring thaw. Signs will be posted to indicate where and when restrictions are in effect. Thank you for your cooperation as we work to maintain safe and reliable road conditions throughout the community!

Township of Tiny Delays Reduced Load Restrictions 🚚
The Township of Tiny has delayed the start of the reduced load restrictions (half loads) to begin on March 9, 2026, due to favourable conditions.

As a result, the start of the reduced load restrictions period has been moved from March 1, 2026, to March 9, 2026. Reduced load restrictions will be in effect until April 30, 2026, and may be extended into May at the township’s discretion.

While the reduced load restrictions are in effect, no commercial vehicle or trailer may be operated or drawn upon any road within the Township of Tiny where the weight per axle exceeds 5 tonnes.

Residents and contractors are advised to make necessary arrangements prior to March 9. Please note that no exceptions will be granted except as noted under the Highway Traffic Act (i.e. Heating fuel).
