Some spaces are designed for entertaining. Others are designed for lingering…

The inspiration for this custom bar came from the traditional Irish pubs the homeowners love to visit. Places where the atmosphere is so warm and inviting that nobody seems in a hurry to leave.

Every detail was chosen to create that same feeling. Rich finishes, warm lighting, a stunning quartz countertop, walnut cabinets and a copper ceiling detail that catches the light and draws your eye across the room.

One of my favourite features is the island cabinetry. We intentionally designed it to allow two chairs to tuck underneath, creating the perfect spot for card games with the grandchildren, a quiet drink, or conversations that stretch long into the evening.

Because the best spaces aren’t always the most extravagant. They’re the ones that bring people together. The ones where stories are shared, friendships are strengthened, and memories are made around the table.

And if a room makes you want to stay just a little longer, then we’ve done our job well. ✨

Not every renovation requires knocking down walls. Sometimes, the biggest transformation comes from changing how a space feels.

This room was already a games room, but it lacked warmth, character, and that feeling that makes people want to stay awhile. The homeowners loved music, entertaining, and had built an incredible collection of artwork and memorabilia over the years, but the room wasn’t telling their story.

To bring it to life, we added a full stone feature wall, walnut wainscoting, layered lighting, and details inspired by the warmth of a traditional Irish pub. What was once an overlooked corner of the house became the heart of the entire games room.

Today, the pool table sits surrounded by music, art, conversation, and laughter.

One of my favourite things about renovation is seeing how thoughtful design can completely change the energy of a room without changing its footprint.

Because great spaces aren’t measured in square feet. They’re measured in the memories made inside them.

Happy Friday everyone, to making new memories during this rainy week-end, perfect for board games and pool games✨

Friday vibe: “Let’s relax this weekend.”

Also Friday vibe (for all of us homeowner’s): “We should probably do some spring chores around the property…”

I know weekends around here are supposed to be for boating, fishing, wineries, gardening, BBQs, and finally slowing down a little. But the truth is, most of us still end up doing a few chores around the house anyway.

So we might as well do them intentionally.

A little branch trimming. A little cleanup around the house. Maybe rethinking landscaping choices while we’re at it.

Between the coffee, the kids coming in and out, and the classic “this will only take 20 minutes”… somehow it always turns into a full family project.

But really, living in the Okanagan, this stuff matters.

And FireSmarting your property doesn’t have to mean making everything look dry, empty, or unattractive. Some of the best landscaping decisions can actually make your home feel even more intentional, natural, and protected at the same time.

It’s just part of taking care of what we’ve built. Protecting it. Respecting the land around it. And maybe feeling a little more at peace Sunday night when it’s all done.

If your weekend to-do list looks anything like mine, I put together a simple FireSmart blog post + printable checklist to help you get started. Simple. Efficient. That’s my promise to you. Because we all have so much on our plates already.

→ Read the blog (link in bio)
→ Comment FIRESMART and I’ll automatically send you the printable checklist

And we can still have that sundowner on the sun deck afterwards 😉

Something exciting is taking shape downtown Penticton!

We’re incredibly grateful to be involved in the design and the millwork of a new commercial project right here in our own neighborhood. Watching this apartment building come to life is such a rewarding feeling; especially knowing it will become part of the everyday fabric of our community.

There’s something special about helping shape spaces where people will live, gather, and create memories for years to come. Specially with our new collaboration with the one and only ✨

Excited for this one. More behind-the-scenes to come. 👀

WE WON 🥂

Still trying to find the right words for this one…

Friday night, in our very hometown of Sitka Concept received a National Award from the Canadian Home Builders’ Association.

As a family-run design & build studio from the Okanagan, this moment feels surreal. The competition was just as stunning and deserving. What an honour!

To our incredible clients: thank you for trusting us with your homes and your vision.

To our trades, suppliers, collaborators, friends, and family, thank you for being part of this journey.

And to my husband Martin… watching your craftsmanship and dedication every day continues to inspire me more than words can say.

We are so deeply grateful.

Finding the right balance isn’t about trends, it’s about listening.

Nestled on a quiet vineyard, this home didn’t ask for something bold or trendy. It asked for calm. For softness. For something that belonged.

Her dream: an all-white kitchen.
His request: two dishwashers.
Our intention: create a space that feels grounded, timeless, and deeply connected to its surroundings.
We leaned into natural materials and subtle textures, Italian marble, raw cedar, linen, rattan, layered within a palette of soft whites to create depth without noise.

Finished with appliances, seamlessly integrated for performance without distraction, fireclay sinks, and beautifully captured through the lens of

“The details are not the details. They make the design.”

Great design isn’t loud. It doesn’t ask for attention. It reveals itself slowly, through how a space flows, how it supports daily life, how everything simply feels… right.

In this project, every detail was designed to serve a purpose. Better movement. Better storage. Better light. Better privacy. A space that works effortlessly for the people living in it.

Because in the end, it’s not just about how it looks, it’s about how it lives.

We’re honored to have this project named a national finalist with A recognition of thoughtful design, precise craftsmanship, and the belief that the smallest details are often the most important ones.

Function first. Beauty follows. Always. If you’re curious to see the project in its entirety, you’ll find more through our bio.

We’ve never built our work around awards. We’ve built it around doing things right, thoughtful design, precise ex*****on, and spaces that truly work for the people living in them.

Being named a finalist at the level is an honour. It means that our vision for perfection is well aligned. That the hundreds of decisions behind every project is worth every minute of it. It means recognition of our craft to the national level, and that is so powerful in itself.

But at the end of the day, what truly matters the most to us… is what happens after the project is complete.

How it feels to live there. How everything flows. How the space works the way it should for its occupants for years to come. That’s the real win.

And having our clients tell their own neighbour to hire our team for their full home renovation, that truly means it all. Blessed to do the work we love everyday.

Thank you for these wonderful pictures. And thank you Penticton Herald for the feature.
