This is what happens when latex paint is applied directly over oil paint. The previous owner did not prime the wall before painting. The current homeowner asked me to come fix some peeling paint and paint the wall. I ended up peeling all the paint off and then priming the wall correctly. Now they won’t have to deal with anymore of the paint peeling off.
