May I always remain a person who plants seeds with hope, gathers baskets of homegrown food, saves seeds for next season, pauses for sunrises over the garden, listens to birdsong, watches the bees at work, and doesn't mind being a little wild.

Today marks the day our father passed away. 1992. Long time ago, but feels not so long ago.

I have memories rushing into my day already. One that brings comfort is when Tony brought Bruce Springsteen into our house with Born To Run. I played that album incessantly. While sitting at the kitchen table, I heard Pops tapping his foot and humming the tune to Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out. I felt bonded with my family by Bruce.

I miss my dad. I only hope he is proud of how his children have carried themselves, continued his legacy and respected other.
From my observation of others, it is strangely difficult to maintain family unity, but with the teachings of our parents, we have managed and hope to continue growing after the change at the garden centre.

We hope you all feel the connection family can offer you and know it is a deep love that never ends. If we allow it and respect it.

Aujourd’hui marque l’anniversaire du décès de notre père. 1992. Il me semble pas si loin. Des souvenirs qui me reviennent déjà. L’un d’eux, particulièrement réconfortant, est quand Tony a introduit Bruce Springsteen à la maison avec l’album Born To Run.
J’écoutais cet album en boucle. Assis à la table de cuisine, j’entendais Pops taper du pied et fredonner l’air de ´Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out’. Bruce me rapprochait de ma famille.

Notre père me manque. J’espère seulement qu’il est fier de la façon dont ses enfants se sont comportés, ont perpétué son héritage et ont respecté autrui. D’après ce que j’ai pu observer chez les autres, il est étrangement compliqué de maintenir l’unité familiale, mais grâce aux enseignements de nos parents, nous y sommes parvenus et espérons continuer à nous épanouir après le changement de notre entreprise.

Nous espérons que vous ressentez tous le lien familial et que vous savez que c’est un amour profond et éternel, si on le permette et que l’on le respecte.

Pops nous l’a appris.
