These ceilings were very smoke damaged and yellowed with time at the beginning. A coat of oil primer to start sealed all the damage in, and two coats of latex white to make them look pretty again! Worth all the effort by far!

This entranceway was very dark with the brown trim and ceiling. All of the existing paint had to be sanded off because there was no adhesion due to putting a latex paint over a semi gloss oil. I used oil primer as a first coat and then finished with a semi gloss latex. The old wood looks quite attractive now with a lighter look.

A room with paneling can be painted over if you use the right primer on the walls. This is quite a dramatic difference.

What a difference beautiful front doors make to the curb appeal! These unpainted white metal doors needed a grey primer before the red color could be applied. I paint them with a little 4 inch roller, so they can be very fussy, but so worth it to the look of the front porch area. Lovely color too!

We painted all the trim in this house black over white in semi gloss oil. The existing paint was all oil finish so we used an oil again over top, because any latex would have problems with adhesion and I don't know of any black primers. The result looks quite fabulous in this older house.
