Tsuga canadensis - Eastern Hemlock is an Ontario native evergreen tree. It grows to a height of 21m (69ft) with a spread of 10m (33ft). Hemlock grow best in full sun but can tolerate up to full shade. It produces small, light brown cones.

Anouska Double Oriental Lily is a stunning perennial that blooms with extra large, fragrant flowers mid to late summer. It grows to a height of 75cm (2.5ft) and spread of 60cm (2ft). Grows best in full to part sun, with rich, slightly acidic soil. Stems may need to be staked to avoid wind damage. Clumps can be divided every few years by digging up and separating the bulbs.

Echinacea purpurea 'PowWow White' - Coneflower grows to a height of 60cm (2ft) and spread of 45cm (1.5ft). It likes full sun to part shade, and can adapt to a variety of soil conditions. White flowers bloom through the summer, and seed heads can be left for winter interest and a food source for birds.

'Moonbeam' Threadleaf Coreopsis is a beautiful perennial with finely textured foliage that gives it an open, airy appearance. Yellow flowers bloom from June to August. It grows in full to part sun, in medium to dry soil, and can do well in rocky soils. They're heat and drought tolerant, and spread by rhizomes rather than self seeding. It grows to a height and spread of 60cm (2ft).

Daisies - Tall and short to suit your needs!

'Snowcap' grows to a height of 35cm (1ft) and spread of 45cm (1.5ft). It blooms from June to August.

'Becky' height grows to a height of 90cm (3ft) and spread of 75cm (2.5ft). It blooms from July to September. 'Becky' also has increased disease resistance.

Deadheading will prolong the bloom times. Both grow in full sun to part shade in average, well drained soil. Dividing is recommended every 2 to 3 years to prevent overcrowding and increase blooms.

'Strawberry Seduction' Yarrow is a compact cultivar that grows to a height and spread of 60cm (2ft). Strawberry-red flowers with yellow eyes bloom from early to midsummer, and dry to shades of yellow. Deadheading will prolong the bloom time. The foliage adds an interesting texture. Yarrow is an easy to grow plant. It grows in many soil conditions, in full sun to part shade, drought & heat tolerant once established, salt tolerant, and deer resistant!

Hydrangea aborescens 'Annabelle' produces huge blooms from summer until frost. It is a fast grower and gets to a height and spread of 1.5m (5ft). This variety of hydrangea blooms on new wood, so pruning should be done in late winter or early spring. Annabelle can grow in full sun to full shade.
