The machinery can wait a few days. The ecology can’t. šŸ—ļøšŸŒ±
With the rapid growth happening across our region, the old way of clearing a site doesn’t cut it anymore. Standard practice wipes the slate clean. Green Feet’s Native Plant Rescue introduces a second step built right into your early-stage logistics.
Before the bulldozers arrive, our boots are on the ground. We harvest and protect the site’s original, locally adapted genetics—saving them for future restoration buffers or community stewardship.
And community is always welcome for organized rescue days.
Zero Downtime: We map, rescue, and clear out before your heavy equipment hits the dirt.
Show municipal partners and neighbors a visible commitment to the land from day one.
Keep the site’s authentic identity alive in your final landscapes.
It’s responsible, and it’s how modern development gets done.

🌿 We have a secret. Our gardens focus first on ecology. This springtime Native garden focused, in part, on habitat for birds. The rest of the benefits - water filtration, soil stabilization on this slope, carbon sequestered, etc. - came naturally. Call us to see what we can do for your place.

Could treating your front lawn like a ā€˜grassland’ help with climate change? Of course!

Lawn are considered ā€˜green spaces’, and this is why! The more naturalized your lawn is, the more Carbon it stores, and the higher the value of the service that lawn provides.

It’s a bit funny though. Lawns aren’t actually considered a ā€˜grassland’ until they have some deeper roots, taller grass, and diversity. So let those lawns grow folks!

It’s so cool how easy it is to be ā€˜green’!

🌿 are an overlooked player in climate change mitigation.

90% of their is stored underground, where their diversity helps increase the amount of organic carbon stored in roots and soils.

Because of this, and because many grasslands plants have deep and resilient root systems, their carbon stores may be more stable than those in forests, better able to withstand environmental stressors like and fires.
