In honor of the Oscars this weekend I've been thinking about films and how they are made. It seems to me they are similar to building a house. We have the OWNER as the PRODUCER, and ACTOR once they live in the house. The DESIGNER is the SCREEN WRITER. The director can be a bit tricky, EVERYONE WANTS TO BE THE DIRECTOR! The director could be the General contractor, or the designer, or the owner, as long as the roles are spelled out at the beginning, it will make life easier for everyone.

By the way, the Oscars for Architecture is the The Pritzker Prize.
