A lot of work went into prepping these cabinets. We have about 20 hours of sanding in on them so far. Because they were painted with latex wall/trim paint to begin with we have to remove all the failing paint. Chips on the edges, water damage that's crept under the paint until we reach unstained maple wood, all the chamfered corners and edges just to be safe. The 2K primer turned out beautifully and I'm so excited to top coat them!
If you're hiring someone to resurface your cabinets ask the questions and do the research. These cabinets are only 10 years old but started failing within the first year.

Our company focuses on high-end custom built homes. We are NOT production spec home painters. Our focus on a team atmosphere ensures everyone feels supported in their role and gets the opportunities to learn the trade as a whole. Who we are looking for-

The right candidate needs be interested in a career in the painting trade. We are looking to train someone from start to finish to ensure quality standards are met. There is no need for previous experience but the person must have an eye for small details and the ability to become efficient with tasks. They must have a positive attitude that meshes with our enthusiastic team. Physically, they must be able to lift, climb and be on their feet all day.

Our company continues to strive towards employee growth and satisfaction. We want to show up for people the same way they show up for us! We provide a vehicle allowance along with work clothes and tools. The occasional social event, lunches and coffees come up too!

To end, I will say, this trade has supported me and my family for close to 20 years. I joined the trades as a young female and have seen continual growth financially and in my own workmanship. It has also allowed me to be home everynight to raise my children. With the shortage of skilled laborers, now is the time to encourage people to learn a trade. So, apply, and come alongside a close-knit team and learn the ins and outs of custom home painting!

Great post and so worth the mention. Vleeming Custom Homes does so much planning on their front end that it leaves all the surprises and cost increases out of their builds. Many people assume that because their initial price is more than other comparable custom builders that they aren't competitive. I dont believe this to be true. The increases that pop up during custom builds can be substantial when designing a forever home. Vleeming has the foresight to plan and cost estimate from day one, leaving hefty bills later out of their business model. Lower initial prices seem inciting when making one of the biggest purchases of your life. Make sure your builder knows the scope of work you want and costs it responsibly. Or just call vleeming. They have it figured out.

No, we also build cost-effective homes that are still made with our high-quality standards but may not have high-end finishes. If you're looking for a well-built, solid home that's energy-efficient but you don't see value in the "fancy things," like gold plated faucets or decorative features, no problem, we can help you out. We won't be the price of a volume builder or the one-person truck and a hammer operation, but that is because we are still maintaining our high quality from planning to ex*****on. Quality is affordable!
