Just how strong are our posts? When you sink them 6-8 feet deep, and use nearly 1000lbs of cement in each post hole, I guess they are pretty strong! Had a customer of mine send me this Pic from earlier this spring. 60' long tree, 24" wide base came down in a wind storm, directly on the top of the post. The post not only held the tree, but did it with zero damage to the post, fence, or gate.
