Our Story:

We are a family business, serving Central Alberta since 1997, created with the desire to provide options for homeowners to optimize their spaces! Here's a bit of how we got to where we are today:

1997: Started our business i

n our garage.

1998: Opened our first retail store on the south side of Red Deer with two small closet displays and a handful of storage organizational products.

2000: Relocated to Southpointe Common Shopping Centre.

2002: Expanded the scope of our business to distributing Phantom Screens, offering our clients high-quality, Canadian-made screens that allow breezes (and not insects) through our home. In addition to retractable screen doors, we provide Phantom's beautiful motorized screens for decks and patios.

2006: Started our custom millwork division, manufacturing closets and cabinetry, offering our clients even more storage options. With our manufacturing capability, we became exclusive dealers for Murphy Wall Beds.

2011: Moved to the Gasoline Alley location to accommodate the expanding customer demand for storage and organizational products.

2018: Moved to Clearview Industrial Park, a location which gives us enough space for our showroom, warehouse, and cabinetry workshop, all under one roof! We take pride in our closet division which uses industry-leading Organized Living™ powder-coated wire shelving, of which are exclusive dealers. Our staff is fantastic! They look forward to providing our customers with the best products and service possible, optimizing storage areas, not just practically, but aesthetically as well. We invite you to visit our store and meet with one of our experienced consultants who will offer you ideas and designs with many alternatives to meet any budget. We aim to provide organization and efficient living ideas for every space between the front and garage doors, the basement and the ceiling. Today we’re celebrating a huge milestone at Canadian Closet — 20 years with Ben!

Better known around here as “Big Ben,” he joined the team at just 21 years old and has been an integral part of the fabric of the company ever since.

Ben is our go-to expert for wire shelving and storage systems. If there’s a question, there’s a good chance Ben has an answer — and if there are two ways to do something, he probably knows a third.

What really makes Ben, well… Ben, is the person he is. He’s genuinely kind-hearted, sees the best in people without effort, and has a steady presence that everyone here values more than we probably say out loud. He’s the kind of person who makes a workplace feel like a team.

He’s also known for his endless ideas, his curiosity, and the occasional conversation that somehow starts in one place and ends somewhere completely unexpected (yet always interesting).

Twenty years is no small thing. We’re incredibly proud to have Ben as part of the Canadian Closet story.

It’s Adam’s birthday today—and there’s no way we’re letting this one slide.

Adam has been with Canadian Closet since the early days, long enough to remember stories about the boss’s kids when they were young… one of whom is now our General Manager.

That kind of history doesn’t come around often, and it says a lot about the people who’ve helped build this place.

When it comes to installs, Adam is the definition of skilled. Precise, reliable, and calm under pressure—he’s the guy you want on site when things need to be done right the first time.

Outside of work, Adam is a dedicated family man, and that same steady, thoughtful approach shows up in everything he does.

We’re grateful to have him on the team and even more grateful to celebrate another year with him.
