When it comes to pruning or taking down a tree many assume that the only way it is done is with a cherry picker/bucket truck. In many cases this untrue. They can do more damage than good. If it is has rained the day before, the damage to your property and the safety of others could be dangerous. Getting stuck, electrical problems and such. It doesn't matter how experienced the person is in their ability to use a bucket truck. Yes it is dangerous for me, but I know that when I am in a tree I can react quicker to a dangerous situation than having to rely on a piece of machinery that could become deadly.

Every situation is different. If I can save the tree by pruning, fertilizing, treating root problems, spraying organic spray or treating for pest; it would be my first choice. I rather save a tree that take it down. Trees are a rare beauty that we often take for granted. The old lively oak or mother willow. Trees have stories to tell and they can tell alot about how we have treated mother nature.

When I am taking down a tree I do it the eco friendly way. Assessing it from the ground, I plan my approach and use what mother nature has given me. My mind, body and strength. All my jobs are safely done with the consideration of bystanders and the property of the homeowner and their neighbours. Safety first.

Any tree can come down safely with ropes, knowledge, experience and my code of conduct. I never not take into consideration that something could not happen unexpectedly. Arborist have one of the most dangerous jobs in the world and even the most experienced have injuries that could last life time or some that can be fatal. The trees that have broken branches that are so high in the tree that with a strong wind it could drop and kill someone. They are called widow makers.

Why do I love what I do; it is not for the rush nor is it for the competition in my field. Not for the sake of money but to preserve life. To educate what raw beauty really is. I have special bond with nature and trees. I grew up in the Bancroft area and literally lived in the woods in my spare time. I feel more alive in nature. No I am not one of those tree huggers that protest in front of huge bulldozers. I just love nature and the way it defines itself after a major disaster. How life comes alive and back from the dead.

Be it a dead tree, hanging branches, a simple pruning or if you would like to save your tree. I am available 24 hours. I am insured, bonded and have over 30 years experience. Also one of the oldest Arborist and Landscape designers around.

Information is Knowledge, but life is in abundance. Call for an estimate and lets work together.

There is a fine line between pruning and trimming. Every tree needs balance in order to have proper structure, to be healthy and to regenerate new growth. If your tree isn't producing foliage or flowers then there is problem affecting it. Fruit and ornamental trees are a specialty. They need fine touches and special care.

Growing up around apple trees and learning how to care for them, gave me a chance to obtain knowledge passed down to me from my grandfather. The old ways of how to care for them, not just apples but all fruit trees. I was taught how to save them and bring them back to life(if it was possible).

If you have a fruit tree that needs some care or it is not producing the fruit it once did, please call and speak with me about your tree. You never know I might be able to help.
