A repeat customer reached out to pull up some old carpet and install oak hardwood flooring. We had to add a flush with the floor oak transition piece at the door as the customers are elderly and constantly tripping on the raised transitions.
Replaced the trim and 1/4 round where the floor meets the built in cabinets.
We also repaired a couple of packet doors and added 1/4 round in the kitchen.

Happy customer 😊

This customer reached out to us to have a handrail installed to the upstairs apartment. Unfortunately the 2x2 birch handrail was too wide for their liking so we cut it down, rounded the edges and installed it. They were super stoked with the finished product.

This customer had a leak coming thru the light fixture, and was concerned that the light was not working because of the moisture.
Upon investigation we discovered that not only was the ceiling bowing down from the weight of the insulation but there was also insufficient insulation and vapour barrier which caused condensation to occur due to the warm air in the house and the cold air in the roof space.
We also discovered that the light wasn't working due to a wire being disconnected from the wall switch, which could have caused an electrical fire.

So we reattached the wire to the switch, installed ceiling strapping, removed the black 36" plastic sheets, put insulate here it was lacking and stapled up a continuous vapour barrier including a light box cover.
Drywalled, crack filled, sanded and installed crown moulding for that perfect finished look!

The customer reached out about two leaking windows. After a quick inspection, we realized the water was coming from the door above. You could see water whisking up the brickmould trim, a clear sign of insufficient flashing.

Once we pulled the door, our assumption was confirmed, but the damage went deeper. We removed the landing, ledger, surrounding siding, and both windows. The trim and insulation were waterlogged, and several boards were rotten through.

We repaired the sheathing, added new insulation foam, flashed and installed the windows correctly, reused the siding, rebuilt the landing, and reattached the stairs. Job well done!

This customer needed to get their basement renovation project a little push so we came in and drywalled, crack filled, installed doors with handles, trimmed the doors and windows (and cat doors) and installed a deep ceiling complete with recessed LED lights.

The customer was extremely happy with the work and the timely manner it was completed in.

This customer required replacement of several outdated double-hung wooden farmhouse windows that had become drafty and inefficient.

After carefully removing the old units, we repaired the rotted sill and prepared the rough opening to meet current building code standards. The new windows were then installed plumb and square, properly insulated with foam, and finished with trim to the customer’s satisfaction.

A customer informed us that another carpenter had attempted to repair some rot in the corner trim. From the ground, the work showed signs of a quick fix rather than a lasting solution. Closer inspection revealed silicone messily applied where the trim met the clapboard and screws that weren’t properly set, leaving the repair unfinished and ineffective.

Our goal was to correct the issue and restore the integrity and appearance of the corner and rectangular massing. We removed the flawed section, repaired the underlying rot, and precisely fitted new, properly aligned pieces. The trim details were carefully matched to the original profile for a seamless look. The finished result not only enhances the home’s curb appeal but ensures the repair will hold up beautifully for years to come.

Spotted some rot on the neighbours house while working on another customers house. Found excessive amounts of caulking preventing water to escape which caused the rot problems.
1 thing about caulk that is often misunderstood is that even though it keeps water out, it also keeps water in.
