What an honor and such a good time! 17 shows in the month of August!

An amazing group of people motivating each other to put on a mind blowing show almost daily! My main duties were to build and maintin the fire wall, dive pool and contraptions.

The hours were long and the days were stacked back to back but I'd turn around and do it all over again tomorrow in an instant!

Can't wait to see all the Nitro Circus crew again soon!

Onirik, ça devient réel.

🎉 Épisode 24 – Épisode final.

Il y a quelques mois, ce bâtiment n'était qu'un rêve, une vision portée par toute une communauté.

Aujourd'hui, en regardant ces photos avant / après, on réalise tout le chemin parcouru. Des milliers d'heures de travail, des dizaines de partenaires et de bénévoles et une communauté qui a cru en ce projet dès le premier jour.

Et maintenant... le moment que nous attendions tous est enfin arrivé.

Ce sera le début d'une toute nouvelle aventure, et nous avons hâte de vous accueillir dans ce lieu que nous avons imaginé, construit et façonné avec passion.

Everyone loves framing photos!

This is a deciving part of the process. The ramps exist! The shapes can be seen. The lines can almost be ridden. And yet there is so much more work to be done.

Bracing, coping, plywood, top surface all these other components come after the initial frames begin to shape.

This is when it feels like the park is almost done... but this is where the real work starts. The excitement of the planning and preparation and unknown wears off and now its time to put in the grinding hours. The work that feels like it has no end. Where things seem to stand still for weeks Where every day you show up and just tell yourself to keep going.

Its all worth it in the end.

I get lots of questions about how I plan and estimate these wild projects.

I have spent almost 30 years learning the in and outs of the 3d design world. My builds usually begin in the computer. A project like this requires extensive planning and material take-offs.

Once the basic shape of the park layout is decided upon, I move into detailed design. I prepare detailed ramp specs and I am able to use my 3d modeling program and a very involved spreadsheet to create accurate material lists and cost estimates.

The 3d models are also sent to architect and city building officials for fire code and permitting purposes.

Everybody wins with a solid plan!

Onirik is ready to ride!

This park design was heavily influenced by pro scooter rider Jay Page as well as design input by some of Canada's top BMX riders JEFFREY WHALEY OLY, MAXIME CHALIFOUR and Kevin Fabregue

Built in just over 2 months. Myself, the park owner Francois Pagé as well as countless volunteers hauled all this material through the front doors and stacked it to the ceilings!

There are a few more general building projects to wrap up (washrooms, electrical etc.) before the park can be opened to the public, but you can be sure this place will be open very soon!

This was an awesome build. One of those ones that I don't want to end. I'm stoked to get back and build Phase 2 in the basement!

Pretty hyped with how this blend worked out. Variable radius rounded hip. One radius starts a foot higher than the other. Blending into a roller at the base to deal wkth the 1' height offset in the floor levels.
