For centuries, hope chests represented tradition, memory, and preparation for the future. Also called blanket chests, dowry chests, or glory boxes, these treasured furniture pieces were once essential in preparing a young woman for marriage. Today, they can serve as stylish storage solutions, family heirloom furniture, and sentimental keepsakes. This Tudor designed cedar chest was manufactured in the late 1920’s making it just over 100 years old. It has an absolutely STUNNING wood top and charmingly carved detailing with beautiful hardware added to the bottom pull out drawer. It is bench height making it ideal for the end of a bed but ultimately it would be an art piece in any room it was placed in.
Thank you for looking, this is a very special piece🦋❤️
