Here’s an example of why I don’t endorse elastomeric paint. We have repaired and removed so much stucco and brick over the years that has been coated with elastomeric that has deteriorated underneath needing repair or removal and complete reinstallation from wire through to finish coat. In the pictures above you can’t see that the stucco is soft and damp to the touch. The paint has come off in sheets and you can see the original colour and pieces of soft stucco on the back. If you want to cover your home in a vibrant long lasting coating that gives you the benefit of being able to cover hairline cracks - don’t turn to elastomeric paint- in the long term you will regret it.
