For an extended period, the scissor lift's operational key was redundant, as none was required to operate the equipment, thereby allowing unrestricted access. This security vulnerability posed significant challenges when the lift was left unattended on worksites, as it was susceptible to unauthorized utilization. Consequently, the equipment frequently sustained damage, resulting in considerable repair costs being incurred by me. Following comprehensive research, I rectified the issue, and now a key is mandatory for operational use.
