Who are we looking for? We need someone who is an adventure seeker who understands the freedom of working outdoors! Someone who enjoys putting in extra hours to have the fulfillment of completing the job. Works together to share ideas, information and efforts to achieve goals.

Responsibilities and Duties

WHAT DO WE DO? Hockley's landscape services has been providing the county of norfolk with quality workmanship for almost 20 years! some of the services we provide at hockley's include:

Lawn cutting, lawn maintenance, garden weeding, garden maintenance -precast concrete wall installation - plant material installation -concrete paver installation -sod installation -wet lay flagstone -landscape lighting

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants with previous landscape experience considered an asset. Time management skills, Communication skills including clarifying directions, excellent customer service. Ability to use small engine tools such as concrete saw, lawn mower , . Equipment maintenance skills, love to work outdoor, Valid “G” license considered an asset.

bending, lifting, kneeling are all required for the job as wel be able to lift 50+ lbs when needed to.

Job Type: temporary full time (april -august)

HOURS: 35-55 per week

Salary: $16.50 to $18.00 /hour

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Lead hand may work with or without onsite Supervisor. Project includes planting, grading, Interlock paving, Retaining wall, Water feature, Masonry work, Concrete work, snow removal (winter work). This position requires record keeping of the job progress, and material. Communicating openly and honestly, works diligently toward building and keeping a high level of quality on the job site while maintains a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants must have a minimum of 1 years experience in landscape construction. Time management skills, Communication skills including clarifying directions, excellent customer service. Ability to use small engine tools such as concrete saw. Equipment maintenance skills, driving a truck with trailer attached, love to work outdoor, Valid “G” license, with heavy truck experience D or A license considered an asset. Moderate knowledge of construction techniques and basic knowledge of horticulture and plant needs. Experience in operating skid steer and Mini excavator is an asset. Onsite training will be provided for candidate who would like to become supervisor in future. Wage will reflect experience and knowledge.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $17.50 -$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

10 hour shift

Licence/Certification:G (preferred)

We are excited to announce through the sale of our HOT PINK DEICER bagged salt we were able to raise $250. We thought that wasn’t enough so we doubled our donations to $500!!! We also have chosen Cancer Support & Resource Program (CSRP) Norfolk as our foundation of choice, as we wanted to make sure the donations truly stayed local.
