Who's our next victim... err, volunteer... to be featured?
This week, we're shining the spotlight on James Leegstra!
James may not make it to every Agricultural Society meeting, but when he does, watch out! This guy means business. He's all about action, getting things done, and making things happen.
Agriculture is something James is truly passionate about. Along with his family, he operates Pine Acres Farm which is anything but boring! Their farm is home to goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, and quail. They also grow seasonal vegetables, and his wife creates handmade soaps and other products to help support their little farming adventure.
But enough about the farm—this spotlight is about James!
~ James serves as the Director of our Heavy Horse Pull at the Fall Fair.
~He builds our livestock pens.
~ He helped rebuild our Heavy Horse Ring.
~ He is one of our go-to heavy lifters during fair setup and teardown.
~ And whenever there's a big job that needs doing, chances are you'll find James right in the middle of it.
Since becoming a member of SRMAS in 2023, James has become an invaluable part of our team. His willingness to jump in, tackle projects, and help wherever needed has made a tremendous impact on our organization.
Thank you, James, for all your hard work, dedication, and passion for agriculture. We appreciate everything you do to help make our Fall Fair and events a success!
