🌿 Pilea peperomioides (Chinese money plant, UFO plant and many more) is now considered endangered in its native environment. It’s an Asiatic perennial herb that is native to Yunnan Province in Southern China, and was once found at the foot of the Himalayas. Pileas are a part of the stinging-nettle family, Urticaceae, and were discovered in 1912. In 1945, a Norwegian missionary named Agnar Espegren found the plant and brought it back to his homeland to cultivate and study. Since then, the Chinese Money Plant has spread throughout the Nordic countries and from there the rest of the world.

✨ This is our shop Pilea that was kindly donated and will be cared for and propagated as a mother plant.

Growing up in Australia, we had a huge Protea tree, surrounded by eucalyptus in our backyard. The flowers were always stunning and attracted an incredible amount of pollinators. It’s so nice to now have them available in the shop.

Display on their own or in an arrangement. They can be enjoyed freshly cut and then easily air dried.

The Protea flower is known to symbolize a beauty that stands out, embracing uniqueness and diversity, and the boldness to create and accept the inevitable changes.
