This week we removed this railing and stripped all the original deck boards off this patio.
We also lowered the leading edges 2" to provide water drainage.
We then sheeted with 3/4" T&G plywood,nailed down galvanized drip edge along the front ,and also 90° galvanized flashing,sealed along the stone walls.

We lowered the leading edges of these decks 2" due to the front heaving more than 1" over time on the lower deck.
We then sheeted the decking boards from 2017 with 1/2" plywood,glued and screwed.
We then covered them both using Genuine Sandstone Duradek.
