Any one having trouble setting up G54 etc for bottom left corner keeps coming up with out side job limits …..obviously I’m doing something wrong not something I do a lot ……any help out there

I forgot to post…..when I finished the tiled entrance way for family, I went back to the shop, cut and machined some 1/2”& 3/4” mdf into base board and plinth blocks….spray painted it all when I was doing other things….didn’t turn out to bad once it was fitted..

The following day my Buddie goes to work and I’m left thinking the wakes in a couple of days….so I set to it, preparing the oak for the cnc etc, has anyone danced the light fandango with an orbital sander, well I have and lost lol…. Wife takes me to A&E 4hrs later and 5stiches ….all I can think about is getting this urn finished, hence to say all I did was think about it….next day we are both back at it …..
We decide to mortise and tenon all the pieces together to form the box, using a domino 500 of course…..glue and cramped the lid and the box after cnc had done it’s job.
My Buddie had one of this relatives make a satin bag as a liner and there you have it. With respect to the deceased I blanked out his name on the urn but not his memory….

Last week a Buddie told me some grave news concerning his father-in-law. He informed me he wanted to build an urn for him, but wanted to build it at my shop cos his was all tangley……so between the jigs and the reals and a sketch from google, we set about glueing together some oak. Machined some more on the jointer and the proceeded to run some beveled columns…….As we dry fitted the pieces together you could see the urn taking shape ……..Not to bad even if I say so myself ….the collaboration had begun…..….

Don’t look a lot, but I just spent the whole weekend plastering and redecorating the hallway and stairs. Now I need to manufacture and fit contemporary style hand rail, oh and 36” diameter maple clock over the door so I can clock-in and out….. lmao.

This run of cabinets is to be an island for a customer, there will be 10 door panels as such. Watch and see how this project develops….. what I will say it will be delivered as 4 units as we have a two hour drive to complete assembly, and with the price of gas don’t want to make a mistake and have go back cos of an over site……..lol

Whilst I’m busy making stairs using my new jig, amongst all the other things the wife got her eyes on lol. It’s really nice to hear the cnc grinding away in the background, knowing it’s doing so cos the Cad ware is getting easier….!!! I’m grateful to the groups that I’ve joined, even this old chippy can learn new tricks, sometimes that is ……lol

Finalized my stair jig, used it to make two small stringers. It will be a good test for this chippy and my new jig….I owe this one to my brother I was taking to him about denting one over from the UK, his answer why don’t you make one and I thought why not….and so the journey began….but hey the prove of the pudding is in the eating……see what the stairs look like…!!!
