It’s officially the Spring Equinox and we’re here for it! 💐

This video was taken today (March 20th) and there’s something so comforting about seeing the bees again.

For us folks in horticulture, spring signifies renewal in so many ways: we pick up, dust off and get moving with the momentum of the season. Much like this little guy 🐝

Today and this month we celebrate women 💐

All we have overcome, all we have achieved and the hill we are continuing to climb.

While the horticulture trade has one of the highest rates of female employment, women still experience barriers to leadership roles and higher positions within the industry.

As our representation increases, so too should our influence and expertise. May we continue to pave the way for young women and girls who can look to us and say, “I can do this too.”

This month, we challenge you to research female-led landscaping, design and horticulture businesses within your community. Take it from us: these women run tight ships and do incredible work.
