New trailer in the lineup.

This one means Bobby can haul more of his Kubota equipment in one shot, which makes a real difference on outdoor jobs across Cape Breton.

Less back and forth means better setup means more efficient job sites.

For screw piles, fencing, grading, driveway work, land clearing, shed prep, garage prep, and all the “can you take a look at this while you’re here?” jobs, having the right equipment on site matters.

The machine matters.

The plan matters more.

And a good trailer helps get both there.

Project Story: Sign Install

This was a sign install I did B2B-style for my friends at Sixty Minute Signs!
We handled the install, including the concrete and metal work, and had it done in about an hour. Jobs like this are a good reminder that not every project has to be a big production.

Sometimes you just need someone who can show up, bring the right equipment, get the thing installed properly, and move on with the day.

We don’t manufacture the signs, but we can install them.

For businesses, farms, properties, entrances, and roadside visibility, a solid install matters. A sign has to stand straight, hold up to weather, and look professional when people drive by.

Scotia Screw Piles can help with: Sign installs, posts, concrete work, small site prep, and practical property upgrades.

Quick jobs still need to be done right.

Cape Breton ground is not one thing. It's wet. Or rocky. Or sloped. Or old fill. Or it's got water going exactly where you don’t want it.

It often looks fine until you start working.

That’s why Bobby doesn’t treat every deck, fence, driveway, shed pad, or pile job the same way.

The ground changes the plan.

Knowing that before you start is part of doing the job right.

From Bobby's Job Book: Pool Fence in Glace Bay

This fence was built in Glace Bay to secure an inground pool and add some privacy around the yard.

The client needed something practical first: a safe barrier around the pool. But that didn’t mean it had to be plain! We designed, fabricated, and installed custom gate inserts to break up the long lines of the fence and give it a little more character.

That’s the kind of project we like. It solves the problem, does the job it’s supposed to do, and still looks good in the yard.

For families with kids, pets, pools, or just a need for more privacy, a fence can make a big difference in how usable your space feels.

Scotia Screw Piles can help with: Fences, decks, pool access, privacy builds, gates, and outdoor upgrades across Cape Breton.

Book now while there’s still room in the season.

May Long Weekend (aka the May two-four, Hiking Day, or Victoria Day if you're feeling fancy) is here! And in Cape Breton that usually means one thing: people are heading back to the cottage, trailer, lake, or summer property for the first real check-in of the season.

And that’s usually when you find out what winter had to say. 🤣

Soft spots around the deck. Steps that shifted. A fence that didn’t make it through the wind. A driveway that washed out. A camp that needs a safer entrance. A future hot tub, porch, shed, or pool project that’s been on the list for too long.

That’s the kind of work Scotia Screw Piles can help with.

We work on practical outdoor projects across Cape Breton, including cottages, rural properties, waterfront lots, and year-round homes.

Decks. Fences. Outbuildings. Site prep. Retaining walls. Foundation support. Screw piles. Earth moving.

You don’t always need a huge rebuild. Sometimes the best project is the practical one that makes the place safer, sturdier, and easier to use.

If you’re opening things up this weekend and thinking, “Well, that needs fixing,” take a few pictures and send them along.

From Black Rock Road to Baddeck and all through cottage country Cape Breton, we’re booking spring and summer projects now.

Scotia Screw Piles can help with the kinds of jobs that make rural and cottage properties work better.
