I’ve reached a point in time with my company where the road ahead is impassable. I dedicated 24 years and missed way too many personal paydays in building this company. I cherish some very excellent employees and customers. Forces of human nature, market conditions, and some poor management (me). Out of 24 jobs in the past two years, two terrible hires and three bad jobs -of which two were bad workmanship, and one was just a terrible customer in Armstrong wanting to f**k anyone possible, I have to call it done. The air is out of the sails -The pandemic times have created a see-saw of terrible costs to build, that still reverberates today, and for this company has now taken its tole.
I got into this business to make an environmental difference. One mistake I made was not terminating soon enough, the employment of trusted adults paid a top wage to manage themselves and/or others as tasked.
Too much of the world continues to move along with the usual general grab and me-ism while only a few really care about others and the world. It alway seems to come back to self preservation and personal gain within this lifetime coupled with fake desires to preserve the well being of the environment... as long as they are the ones making and saving money today and have a pension at 65. It doesn't matter how things are going down -they're ok and their children are set.... for what?
Only a few employees deserve a lot of credit for the successes and the many satisfied customers we've had. They truly set an example of caring for the company -so it could take care of them. I do feel bad for them in the failure I have brought on, It all comes back to me holding the bag and a greedy, insecure, and lazy world clawing at its emptiness.
I will be making a list of assets to be sold. All proceeds going directly to Canada Revenue. By the way -they are not the bad guys here!
I have materials and machinery to move. At least for now it will only be sold by appointment. All cheques written to CRA. All cash payments will be issued a legal receipt from the company and forwarded to CRA.
