Two years ago we painted these kitchen cupboards BM October Mist and completely transformed the space. But we left the side and back of the peninsula unfinished.
It always felt like the one piece missing.
This week, we came back and finished the job by adding simple panel trim detail to match the cabinetry, then prepped and painted for a seamless look.
Total cost in finishing trim?
Less than $100.
The impact? Huge.
This is why I love the power of paint and thoughtful finish work. You don’t always need a full renovation to elevate a space. Sometimes it’s about adding the right detail, taking the time to prep properly, and making everything feel intentional.
Even better — this became a teaching moment. Our daughter helped measure, hold panels, learn about levels, use the nail gun and see how patience turns into pride.
Small investment. Big difference.
That’s the kind of transformation I’m here for.
