I have been so bad at keeping up with social media posts. I had a short sabbatical, was looking after my 1st grandchild ❤️for 4 months and then a sick parent, and a couple of trips. Most of the pieces I did complete, were customs pieces. Some pics are attached (I have been experimenting with AI staging from my original pics). I am back at creating again. These were completed for a very special person, who saw some similar, I had completed before. She came all the way from New Brunswick to pick them up 👏👏
They were originally an antique waterfall style vanity, that was so water damaged, had cigarette burns, was missing the original bakelite hardware, and was generally used and abused.
Working with vaneer pieces can be very tricky when it comes to sanding to raw wood, but luckily this vanity had solid wood drawers.

The towers were separated from the vanity top, repaired and rebuilt (thanks to hubby), adorned with sculpted flowers, given a coat of chalk paint, and sealed and waxed to perfection.
What do you think? Worth the work 🤍🤍

Up for grabs! Vintage, solid maple storage unit.

Who needs some red drama in their life?

I had some challenges with this one. Hubby to the rescue. Original wood skirt removed, new legs added, and a whole new paint scheme. Added some flowers and voila, it's a whole different piece. Ready for another 50 years of usefulness. See the before pic.

Use as a serving buffet in a dining room or kitchen, an entertainment unit under the TV, a game cupboard, entryway storage, or a cabinet for the back of the couch. So many possibilites❤️

Comparables, cheaply made, for sale at Wayfair etc., sell for $2400 plus.

This one is priced at $545. An absolute steal for a super solid piece.

Well this one was posted and sold in the same day. A primitve antique piece given a face-lift for today's lifestyles. It had tons of scars and gashes, mismatched wood, and deep red stains.
Done in a chalk style paint, and buffed with waxes for a buttery smooth feel.
Thoughts? Have a look at the 'before the paint', but after the 4 days of sanding...😱
