Lockdown III Update:

We are open for curb side pickup and home delivery of our soil mixtures, compost, sand and gravel.

Sod will not be available until the 3rd week of April, please contact us after the 18th to place an order.

Veggie seedlings will start to be available in Early May.

Outdoor Power Equipment may be brought in for servicing during our normal operating hours.

All customers are expected to follow provincial health and safety protocols.

Your patience and cooperation is sincerely appreciated.

We remain open for delivery we ask that you not visit our location (customers are not permitted in our building at this time). Please call or email us to arrange delivery for soil, compost, mulch or sand and gravel.

At this point we cannot ensure that there will be an adequate supply of seedlings so we are recommending that you take measures to start growing your own fruit bearing plants from seed.

Sod is expected to be available the first week of May.

It looks like we finally may be getting some Spring like weather. For those of you wishing to topdress and overseed your lawns, now would be a perfect time to start. We have a bunch of great options for lawn seed and w**d free soil that will dramatically improve your lawn.

The wet weather means that the start of Sod Harvesting will be delayed. We are hoping for sod to be available early next week.

Did you know that Homeland offers Snow Blower Repair Service? If your Snow Blower does not start easily (in the first few pulls of the starter rope) it needs to be serviced. Our prices are reasonable and we service all makes and models.

This time of year we start getting a lot of calls form customers wondering about Sod availability. Typically the last week of April or the first week of May is when sod starts shipping. This year however sod may not be available until the second week of May given the long cold winter and the fact that there still is frost in the ground. The good news is that once it is available you will be able to buy sod until at least mid-November.

Remember to call ahead if you are picking up sod as it tends to sell out quickly. You can preorder sod for next day pickup or arrange for us to deliver it for you.

Installing sod is a pretty easy DIY job but if you need any guidance at any stage feel free to contact us for advice.
