In the picture, Ruby (dog) is sitting on Ruby Red, high gloss oak, open grain, dated, prefinished hardwood floors.
When Ruby joined the family late last year she expressed to her new owners there could only be room for one Ruby in the house. So our clients, left with little choice, decided the floors needed to be changed.
At our initial site visit, our clients wanted to know what their options were. We gave them two:
1) REMOVE OLD HARDWOOD AND REINSTALL NEW ($$$) OR
2) SAND, STAIN AND FINISH EXISTING ($$)
Which option do you think they chose? Swipe right to see results.
The clients chose the second option. Not only was it the more feasible option, but they were still able to achieve their design wishes and goals.
This project is exactly the challenge we love. The extra time, patience and skill needed to achieve the results seen here are only attainable with a love for the craft.
Project details: Custom n**e stain finished with LOW VOC (matte finish)/Repairs needed where wall was removed/New flush mount floor vents installed/ Extra sanding needed due to old pre-finished bevel and finish/Intricate (by hand) sanding due to existing kitchen, entertainment unit and fireplace/Existing upper and lower staircases sanded and finished (by hand).
