We’re right in the middle of building this basement’s drainage system from the ground up. After opening the floor, our team has started installing weeping tiles along the perimeter, setting up the pathway that will carry water away before it ever becomes a problem.

Why install them at this stage? Because once water starts building up around the foundation, it needs somewhere to go. Weeping tiles give it a controlled route toward the sump system, instead of letting it push its way into the basement.

Getting a basement ready for waterproofing isn’t just about what you add, it’s also about what you take away first. In this project, our team removed the drywall to expose the concrete foundation and brought in drying equipment to pull out built-up humidity and hidden moisture. It’s all about resetting the space before any new system goes in.

Why go through this step? Because moisture doesn’t always show itself right away. By opening everything up and drying it properly, we’re making sure nothing gets trapped behind the walls once the waterproofing is installed.

Every solid waterproofing job starts the same way, by getting down to the foundation. In this project, our team is excavating around the exterior to begin the waterproofing process. It’s heavy work, but it gives us full access to the foundation so nothing gets missed.
