Are you feeling overwhelmed with clutter? Decluttering is the best way to start.
Living with less takes time to do, it’s also something you have to want to do.
First visualize what kind of home you want and then you can work towards it. That is the motivation and goal.
Here’s a simple system to get started
with decluttering:
1. Start Small – Pick one drop off area (like kitchen counter) drawer, shelf, or corner. Small wins build momentum.
2. Sort – Keep, donate, recycle, toss. Be honest with what you actually use.
3. One In, One Out – If something new comes in, let one thing go.
4. Contain – Use baskets, bins, or boxes to give items a “home.” Use what you already have instead of getting more.
5. Maintain – Spend 10 minutes daily putting things back in place. This is key to avoid the clutter building up.
Ask yourself “Would I buy this again today?” If not, it might be time to let it go.
