Some very exciting news! NLSM is honored to receive 'Article of the Year' at the Construction Specifications Canada national conference, earning the 2017 F. Ross Browne Award! Co-authored along with Kees Govers of LiveRoof, the article, titled 'Designing extensive and semi-extensive vegetated roofs for long-term performance', was written to encourage consultants and contractors to design their vegetated roofs in such a way that the systems can perform for as long as the building is in use. The City of Toronto has introduced some exciting changes to their Eco-Roof Incentive program. The grant has increased to $100/m2, new construction by Not-For-Profits are now eligible, and a Structural Assessment Grant is now available!
