Wood trim, while beautiful, can make your home feel dark and depressing especially in areas that don’t have natural light. Prep work is key when painting your trim and makes all the difference for long lasting beautiful results.
1. Select a primer that has high hide capabilities
2. Fill all holes and caulk the edges and seams
3. Sand the trim so you get a smooth finish and a clean area for the primer to adhere to
4. Primer all surfaces
5. Apply 2-3 good coats of a high quality paint
