Attended the Holiday Luncheon today. So proud of my dear friend, .hansen.25 and her amazing company, ! She was awarded the coveted IVSA Trailblazer Award today, for her lifetime contribution to the wine industry in Western Canada. An icon for sure! As her business partner said, hundreds of keen and aspiring wine enthusiasts have benefited from her guidance and direction…they’ve become the structure of our industry. Just back from the most amazing girls weekend in Napa and Sonoma. Thank you and Weird Barbie for the most informative, entertaining, cave and vineyard tour this weekend! We were surprised with the special tasting of the 2018 Vintage Reserve. A gorgeous Bordeaux blend with tons of cassis and chocolate…beautiful representation in the bottle of their terroir and natural “feed the vines” farming practices. So much age-ability here. 20 months in French oak…65% new. Cool!

Ducted split cellar cooling is a clever way to seamlessly insert your cooling into a cabinet within the cellar…or an adjacent mechanical room where the ducts can reach.
Here, the cooling unit is placed below the countertop and ducted via a chute at the back to the top of the racking. The cold air fills the area behind the crown and effectively flows over the racking, all the way around. Air to be cooled enters under the kick and at the sides of the bins…to be recycled and sent to the top again for even temperature control…top to bottom! Series - Which System Is Right For Your Cellar - Ducted Split…A brilliant way to hide your cooling system in cabinetry, over head with access panel or in an adjacent space like a mechanical room. Ducted systems dramatically reduce sound and give you the opportunity to hide any evidence of cooling equipment. Seamless and beautiful. PRO TIP…always make sure you have a drain pan under the evaporator. It’s a tidy way to manage the condensate drain and also protect any millwork from ever seeing moisture.
