The library volume lifts lightly above the ground plane, shaping two distinct courtyard conditions. To one side, it joins the primary living spaces; to the other, it frames a more secluded and quiet garden.

The primary living spaces at Sidelight House extend daily life into the landscaped court. Across from the living room, the library is acoustically separated, yet remains visually and spatially connected—part of a continuous interior dialogue that unfolds around light, privacy, and measured enclosure.

At the end of a T-intersection, Sidelight House presents a measured threshold — an architectural veil that filters movement, light, and view. Its dual forms express solidity by day, transforming after dark as internal illumination traces the life within, animating the street with quiet presence.

With a favourable orientation to the adjacent neighbor, the house turns sideways rather than frontward, allowing the principal living spaces to engage two distinct garden courts: one open and extroverted, the other enclosed and contemplative. Together, they offer a daily variation of light, shadow, and intimacy.

Sidelight House is currently under construction.

The interior of Corner House is organized around a central courtyard, strategically recessed into the plan to introduce natural light into the core of the building. This void provides visual connections across interior spaces while establishing direct sightlines to the landscape beyond.

Along the courtyard’s inner edge, a triple-height stair ascends from the basement to the roof deck, acting as a vertical spine that anchors the circulation of the house.

Exterior wood soffits are carried through to the interior, maintaining material continuity and delineating programmatic zones within the open layout.

Now under construction, Corner House is designed to achieve Passive House standards and will seek PH certification upon completion.
