Alright gang, day 2 update! I’d say I’m about 75% planted, it feels like there’s an end in sight! I have 2 1/2 trays of sunflowers, 2 trays of zinnias, a few veggies, and about 40 pumpkins left to plant (though I have no idea where that many are going to go 😂).
And for those asking about my crop cover situation this is what I’m using;
1/2” Pex pipe for the hoops (i didn’t measure them but I think they’re probably about 5’ long, my rows are 36” wide)
3/4” Poly pipe cut into small pieces, approx 3-4” long split down the length to use as the “clips” to hold the crop cover on
I drill holes where I want the hoops to go (I bought this mini auger for the drill from Temu and it’s been great!), then I put the hoops into the ground (theyre just sitting in there and only a few inches and I haven’t had any issues with any of them coming out), cover with the frost cloth and clip the black pieces on to hold it in place. The 1/4” difference in pipe diameter makes it really easy to slide it open in the morning and slide it closed in the evenings!
